This population of Holly Hocks produces 4″ hibiscus like blossoms in soft pink, with some plants showing deeper pink, or red hues. A beautiful annual or biennial that brings vibrant color to beds and borders.
Direct sow in full sun after the danger of frost has passed. Sow seeds 8 weeks before the last expected frost, placing them ½” deep and about 2″ apart in flats or individual containers filled with seed-starting mix. Provide strong light and keep the mix evenly moist. Germination takes 7–14 days. When seedlings reach 3–4″ tall, harden off and transplant outdoors, spacing plants 18–24″ apart to allow full growth.
