Early Moonbeam is a yellow fleshed watermelon. Fruits are sweet and grow to about 5-7 lbs. Matures early as fruits are smaller than traditional red fleshed watermelons. Plants are vigorous, and fairly uniform. A perfect watermelon where space or large fruit size is an issue or the season is short. Recommended for the new grower, or if you’ve struggled with growing watermelons in the past. bred by Dr. Alan Kapuler of Peace Seeds.
Direct sow after last frost or start indoors or in a greenhouse 4-6 week before last frost date. Transplant after last frost.
