Welcome to Phocas Seeds! Since 2019, we’ve been dedicated to providing gardeners, homesteaders, and farmers with high-quality, heirloom, and open-pollinated seeds for vegetables, herbs, and cannabis.

Our seeds, adapted to Connecticut and the eastern U.S., are grown using organic, sustainable, and regenerative practices to ensure healthy soils and thriving ecosystems.

Rooted in tradition and care, we grow most of our seeds on our farm in Thomaston and Plymouth, CT, while collaborating with like-minded family farms in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.

Inspired by the charitable spirit of Saint Phocas the Gardener, we’re passionate about cultivating growth, sustainability, and community.

“This was the first year I purchased vegetable and cannabis seeds from Phocas, and the results have been outstanding. I have never had luck growing eggplants; this year I had 4 Rosa Bianca plants producing eggplants. Same for the Silver Slicer Cucumber. First time I have ever had a hot pepper produce; I have bunches of the Biquinho Peppers. The climbing beans, Rattlesnake Pole beans, were very prolic and
produced beans until just a week ago when I harvested the last of them. I have at least 20 Fortuna White pumpkins that grew on vines snaking up to 50 feet long through the garden, up in trees and through the compost pile! I planted 3 Black and Blissful cannabis plants. Since it was my first experience growing cannabis, I thought plant 3, and hopefully get one. All 3 grew to the size of small trees and produced a stunning amount. “Grew 2 very vigorous Compton x Goji OG plants in my main vegetable garden. They both topped put at just under 9′ and had stems that were woody and 2″ in diameter at their bases. We planted the Rattlesnake Pole Beans interspersed with other organic Pole Beans purchased from another well known and established seed company in multiple rows. The seeds were planted the exact same soil, climate and watering conditions. There was surprisingly a marked difference in the vitality, yield and flavor of the two varieties.
